Step-through bath tub to shower conversion

Roger's mother-in-law moved from a house that had a shower stall to a one-bedroom condo with only a tub shower. We lowered her risk of falling in the bathroom by installing a low profile step-through cut-out in her tub and by adding three ADA compliant grab bars (additional $350). She saved thousands of dollars by choosing this reconfiguration instead of the expensive walk-in tubs from the home show. There's even an optional tub door to continue using the tub for baths.

Greg found out his father took a fall at home. According to CDC.gov, once an older person falls their quality of life diminishes because they're afraid to fall again. If a senior falls a second time they can seldom continue living alone. Greg had us come out immediately to install grab bars in several of the locations the AARP recommends. ADA guidelines state that grab bars be able to withstand 250 lbs of force. Proper ADA installation with the right fasteners is extremely important for the safety of users and caregivers.

We improved the ventilation conditions in the attic by unblocking soffit vents and redistributing attic insulation that had been disturbed.
